Before acceptance
A researched business or prospect is not a Sponsor and is not shown publicly as one.
Financial sponsorship is designed as a separate choice from free Community Host participation. Any recognition must remain truthful and appropriate to the eventual charitable structure.

Approved recognition can use verified organization identity and the agreed acknowledgment format.
Reports distinguish actual participation and attributable activity from goals or forecasts.
Where an employer has a verified matching program, a future giving experience can make that opportunity visible without promising that a gift qualifies.
Employers may eventually support Franklin-focused giving or volunteer campaigns through a governed participation path separate from public cold-email prospecting.
Participation reporting should use verified totals and protect individual employee giving information.
Current state: no employer, matching, payroll or workplace-giving integration is active.
Main Product can display a verified employer matching fact supplied through a governed research or Revenue handoff. It does not scrape employers or infer a program from a company name.
Even when an employer program is verified, Franklin Helps must not promise that a specific employee or gift qualifies. Eligibility stays with the employer or authorized matching provider.
A future employer-match message should appear only after a governed source confirms the program. Even then, the product does not promise that a particular employee, gift or organization qualifies; those decisions remain with the employer or authorized matching provider.
A future matching-gift lookup should allow an explicit “prefer not to provide” state. Franklin Helps should not retain an employer reference when a supporter declines.
Even after an employer program is identified from a governed source, the product shows the program as verified, inactive, unknown or needing recheck. It still does not infer whether a particular person or gift qualifies.
The Sponsor path is designed for businesses that want to support the work financially after activation, with clear recognition boundaries and evidence-backed reporting rather than implied endorsement.
